Thanks to the guys at Think Progressive for this wee piece of news.
Turns out that Glenn Beck lost 103 sponsors as his UK television broadcast runs for five days straight without any ads.
Guess the Teabaggers' champion in just another lone lune to that leaderless rabble - whose message is so repulsive that it's losing support and sponsors hand-over-fist.
Hey! Sarah! Why not spend one of your $100K+ speaking fees to help buttress this assclown?
Hello Bren,
ReplyDeleteGlenn Beck...like a flashlight...is simply a case for storing dead batteries :)
Ron
Like it Ron - nice analogy! :) ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish the people of the U.S. had a clear vision of what a total douchebag this guy is like the people in the UK. Despite the vile and disgusting nature of his rhetoric, he still continues to post incredible ratings and has an ever-growing fan base just like Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh. Sometimes I think they are more strongly against Democrats because they see them as elitist, intellectual, educated-types while they are just a bunch of racist redneck morons. It's "Revenge of the Nerds" and the Democrats are the nerds.

Hey Tom,
ReplyDeletewhilst Beck might be the Teabaggers' champion, they, as a movement, have no leadership, constitution or governing principles, or sole focal point: they are just a disparate rabble of tantrumming extremists who are great at reeling-off what they're against (the rote ones - taxes, 'Big Gov't', immigration etc. yawn), but wouldn't have the first clue what to do with themselves once they get past their bumper-sticker sloganeering and sound-bytes.
Here's an interesting article, written during their "conference" in Nashville the other week, about how Sarah Palin may have just lit the fuse of the Teabaggers' own demise - enjoy!

I don't know who the guys is, but with that taste in ties, he deserves to be ousted.
ReplyDeleteHe's just one of the right-wing lunes who host an opinion outbreak on Faux News - but his racist rantings and very loose relationship with anything resembling actual 'facts' have caused the show's sponsors to pull their advertising during the ads on his show, which in America is sacrosanct and the only thing which keeps shows on the air.
ReplyDelete119 and counting: Glenn Beck loses 3 more sponsors
ReplyDeleteHey Bren, are you OK? Blog hasn't been updated for a fortnight, that's why I ask.
ReplyDeleteHey Stu,
ReplyDeleteHope you're well - and thanks for asking: all OK here, just busy. Normal services will be resumed shortly :)
