You could not make this shit up!

From the Tea Party Conference in Nashville today - Tea Party speaker World Net Daily's Joseph Farah said:

"Unlike Jesus, Obama has no documentation of birth"

Well, Jerry, seeing as you asked, and according to all the bodies which are in place to check these things and so prevent non-US citizens attaining the position of President of the United States of America: Hawaii.

But please, by all means, attempt to introduce any credible evidence you feel you might have to the contrary.

Sometimes the comedy just writes itself! "No Representation without Financial Contribution!"

    Teabaggers attack own convention!

  6. Difference between USSR Communist media and USA "mainstream media"

In Russia government make media say what they want - even if lie.

<span> </span>In USA "mainstream media"<span>  </span>try make government what they want - even if lie..

    .....eventually they become same thing?!

Old Russian saying<span>  </span>You can tell same lie 1000 time but not change truth!

I Igor produce Obama Birth Certificate at www.igormarxo.org

Compare Obama Care vs Igor Care at Obama Care vs Igor Care

    Salute Ms Sarah!!!

Only someone trying to sodomize America would call these people "teabaggers"

  7. Sorry.  I did not make myself clear.  I meant to ask what state Jesus was born in.  (A poor attempt at humor.)  I know Obama was born in Hawaii.

Well thank you, "Igor", how's the weather in Atlanta, Georgia?

And now we know that you're a dab hand at ID and document forgery, I'm sure your buddies in the Teabagging Collective will welcome you with open arms!

Have they fitted you for their customary white pointy hood yet? ;)

Ah, now I get ya Jerry - and yes, both Limbaugh's and Farah's comments are preposterous.

<span><span>Sarah Palin mixed up the text of her prepared speech to the assembled hordes of Teabaggers: reading Pg3 before Pg2 and then Pg6 then Pg4 and then she did Pg5. </span></span>

And yet the Teabaggers would still vote for her for president?

Gives you a worrying illustration of the type of America they want, and the type of person they want running it - one where ignorance is raised to a virtue and a presidential candidate (Palin) who makes GW Bush look like a member of MENSA

Palin's cheat/crib notes wiritten on her hand for her speech to the Teabaggers:

    Scott Brown's Truck
    Ronald Reagan
    Barry Goldwater
    Christmas Bomber Lawyer'd Up
    Drill Baby Drill
    Conservative Values
    Cap and Tax
    Tort Reform
Where's my &%$@* Check!? (whoops, didn't mean to say that out loud.)

Interesting read from the local press in Nashville:

Beginning Of The End: Sarah Palin Hijacks The Tea Party Movement

    Just hijacks? Or kills it?

Oi! Well, it is always easier to disect the enemy than it is to create a real solution...I'm just saying.

The sad truth is that the fundementalist right will spend the next 3 years flashing shiny obects in the public's faces to distract them hoping that they will take the bait, and hwen (if) they win...who will we be at war with then. It is all a terrible shame...but we do attract to shiny objects like moths to the porch light.

You raise and interesting point about how the Right just deal in "shiny" (what I call bumper-sticker sloganeering and cant rhetoric), rather than any real policies - if you list what the Teabaggers whine about it's the stock "Immigration!", Obama's birth certificate and "Socialism!" - nothing of any substance.

And here's an article from The Washington Independent (Birther Speaker Takes Heat at Tea Party Convention) describing how even the 'Birthers' tie themselves in knots and how even their own people question their approach, tactics and strategy. Dissent in the ranks, so early in their infancy??

Whilst quite vocal, the 'baggers are currently just a loose coalition of confused factions of the Right - if they ever do truly coalesce, and then get themselves a leader who gives them both direction and an identity which paints them as being something other than just a bunch of whiners, then I guess they might become a force to be considered rather than mocked.

But, happily, we're a long way from that happening any time soon...

You bring up a very interesting point about leadership and organization among the fragmented masses. Frightening in fact...but Charles Manson is in prison, so I hope they all are on Twitter.

I don't mean to drag up an ugly history (your being British and all), but this nation was built on anarchy, and if we are going to get back to our roots, I hope right thinking people (I mean in their right minds, not right wing thinking) are in charge. The whole of our government is due for an overhaul. I think annual revues, detention for bad behavior...time outs as it were and the real possibility of unemployment without benefits would be a good start for the politicians.

As an example of how we could leverage private sector help with straightening things out would be to hire Bernie Madoff to establish strict regulations for the financial industry (seeing as he is so good at bypassing law) as part of his 150 year prison sentence...and he would do it for prison wages. If Bernie refused, upgrade his sentence to death row, and find someone else...I'm just saying.

Elite political thinkers gather in Houston to celebrate the coming together of two of the greatest minds in or out of government today: Sarah Palin and Rick Perry. (courtesy of Geoff Berg's Partisan Gridlock)

I'm looking at the latest televised rant by Sarah Palin, and I'm just wondering, why they can't do a better job than that Katey Sagal beehive thingy to hide the electrodes...
