Was Tiger Woods 'playing the back nine'...?

I love the way this has already been spun to appear as though his wife was only "helping him out of the car by smashing the rear window with a golf club"... a golf club she just happened to be carrying, [cough], at the time... So the introduction of golf-club-to-car-door was in no way the result of an other-woman-fuelled 'domestic' then...?

Err... OK...

That's rather like a jewel thief explaining to the arresting officer that the rock he's just thrown through the jewellery shop window was only done in order to "alleviate the boredom of the diamond necklaces on display".

This photo taken Nov. 27, 2009 and provided by the celebrity Web site TMZ.com shows a Cadillac Escalade that Tiger Woods crashed into a tree outside his home in Windermere.(AP PHOTO/TMZ / November 26, 2009)

And the Chinese go and deliver an animation of what perhaps happened on the night...

  2. Good point about the golf club. Looking at the picture, only the bonnet is dented, so why would she need to smash the rear window to get him out? Surely there was nothing stopping him opening the door? ......... curiouser and curiouser. I think you should pass this onto your favourite group of people - the conspiracy theorists!

  3. Why do I never make international news when I smash my car?

<span>I'm guessing here, Gilz, but I think it's perhaps got something to do with the fact that you're not the most highly paid (and tediously and irretrievably boring) sportsman in the world? ;)

<span>And with his "repentance" now public, and just like his Gillette sponsorship, looks like old Woodsy got away with a close shave after his hole in one... ;)

HI Cosmic-- Whoa, LOL on this Chinese view of the, er, incident.  Why is it scenario B feels more likely?  What scary figures Tiger & Wife make-- can a video game be far behind?

    A video game... hmmmm... ponders...

How about 'Grand Theft Auto XXVIII: After Tiger Takes His Hoes Clubbing, His Wife Takes a Club to His Hoes'? =-X ;)

Latest Woods' Family photo's just developed...

  9. Poor Tiger. He's in a world of hurt.

From what I gather, Tiger's now been down-graded to a 'Cheetah'.

    Tiger, Tiger, Tiger.....

Afterword: I've just been browsing for new gadgets to place into the fabric of this blogsite and I came across one called 'Tiger Woods Quotes' - I'm guessing any pearls of widsom from Woods, regarding, say, 'always keep your balls clean', 'never get your club caught in a bush' etc. are now taken with a pinch of salt.. either that, or outright derision ;)

After-Afterword: and, raising the stakes of Hollywood vacuity to even greater heights, I've just come across one which promises to provide you with "dailiy picures" of <span>Rachel Uchitel</span>.

    Just tragic.

<span><span>"The tragedy of Tiger, to me, can be read on the tear-streaked little faces of his 50 year old fans."</span></span>
