I really enjoy what I've read so far at this blog, great piece on Edward R. Murrow, and one definition of irony for me it Limbaugh wanting to move to a country that has universal healthcare! Welcome aboard and thanks for the kind comments! Glad you're liking it and I'm now following you in turn :)
The other irony is that, by flouncing off to Costa Rica in a fit of pique, Limbaugh becomes one of those "healthcare tourists" he's always decrying, so hypocricy is obviously another aspect with which he feels comfortable.
Welcome! Willkommen! Merhaba! Shalom! Bienvenue! Bienvenidos! etc.
So, you've had a hard day sifting through life's nit comb for any meaning to the day - either that, or the last 10 minutes slaving over a hot microwave trying to create one of your signature dishes - and you now need to relax and have a laugh.
Welcome to Cosmic Navel Lint - where life's small irritations are put into perspective. Feel free to comment and ask questions!
NB: Sorry to break the news to you, but unless otherwise imagined, none of what follows is set to music - that Polka's only inside your head!
Polite, accommodating, flexible, erudite and warm - are all ways in which people have described my twin brother. My name's Bren Tierney, I'm a native of the UK and find life and people endlessly enthralling - usually to the point of amusement. Here's where I write about it.
Ha ha! Why? How big is it?
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I thought there was a different reason for the Republicans having thier backs against the wall lately :)

ReplyDeleteIf you're referring to vociferously anti-gay Republican senators being arrested for drunk driving after leaving a gay club with a 'date', then yes, it would appear that on one hand they are happy - publicly - to say one thing whilst exercising personal hypocrisy on a comical scale on the other.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha... that is hysterical.
ReplyDeleteI guess Republicans arent used to big ones...
